The Jo Walters Trust held a(nother!)
Concert
at
Kilkerran
Maybole
on
Saturday 7th February 2026

Peter Grant and Michelle Sheridan-Grant, having already given us one concert in Aberdeenshire nobly performed a second one in February, this time at beautiful Kilkerran in Ayrshire. The Grants delighted the audience with a lovely programme with many new pieces added since the first performance, including a stunning set of Burns' songs, along with works from the opera, musical theatre, traditional Scottish and Irish repetoire, and even a gorgeous revival of the Llllllama song from State of Emergency, written by Charles and Adam Fergusson in 1960.
We are delighted that the evening raised just under £3,000.
Thanks in particular to:
- Peter and Michelle for giving us another wonderful evening of song, accompanied by the hugely talented Gordon Mutch.
- Adam and Jenny from Kilkerran who were unbelievably hard-working, helpful, enthusiastic and fun.
- Flora Fergusson for the delicious canapés and dinner.
- Gordon Murch for accompanying Peter and Michelle so beautifully.
- Joe and Emma Fergusson for all the help they provided on the night
- Bread & Butter Marketing: for sponsoring the wine and champagne
- The Hunter Blairs for lending us their chairs.
Also the following for donations and raffle prizes:
- Ardtaraig for a delicious hamper
- Lois Bee (Jo's former art teacher) for a Bosie Bear
- ishga Hebridean Skincare
AND to all the kind people who helped so much on the night to get it set up, organised and tidied away.
