Atlantic to Mediterranean Cycle

In May 2013, Peter Duke and David Parson have gamely decided to cycle from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean along the Canal de Garronne and the Canal du Midi in France, a distance of nearly 500km. In an interesting twist, they have announced that they intend to do it non-stop with no breaks at cafes or bars or any other establishment that might possibly distract them with fine wine, or fabulous food. That sort of thing just wouldn't interest them...

They will of course be stopping for well earned rests and enjoying the French hospitality along the route. They are they are going to be raising money for the Jo Walters trust as they go, and indeed before they go, with a Ceilidh in the Craigievar Hall.
